Bean A Vibe Cafe is a family-owned coffee shop founded by Khadijat Dosunmu and built alongside her siblings, Joselynn, Yakub, and Ayo. Together, we're creating more than a café—we're creating a place where people can gather, connect, and feel at home.

The idea for Bean A Vibe grew from my love of the neighborhood hangouts we saw in '90s and early 2000s sitcoms and the sense of community I found in coffee shops while working as a middle school math teacher during the COVID-19 pandemic. After leaving education, I returned to hospitality to continue learning the industry, strengthen my skills, and better prepare myself to bring this vision to life.

Too often, we talk about young people needing better outlets, stronger communities, and more positive spaces—but those spaces don't exist unless we create them. Bean A Vibe is our way of helping fill that gap: a welcoming place where neighbors, students, families, creatives, and entrepreneurs can connect over coffee, conversation, and community.
